PASSED MY PIANO EXAM!!!!!!!!!!
i really can't believe that i did!
was returning to hostel after celebrating siying's birthday, and just did my study time roll call. then along the corridor, i got a message from my mum:
'I got your piano results. Guess what u got?'
I called her immediately and she insisted that i guess my score. The passing mark was 60/100, so i guessed 60 -_- turned out i got 72!!!!! safely above the passing mark. waaaaaaaaah. euphoria :D
apparently she received a letter today, saying that my results are ready for collection. so she rushed immediately over to paragon to collect them C: then center was closing at 7pm, but the nice reception lady said its okay and she could wait for a while :D i'm so surprised the results came so early, they said it'd take 3 months, so counting from 10th december, earliest should be february :D
my mum's gonna go home and help me scan over my results so i can see them now C: okay that was pretty inconsiderate of me since i'm going home tomorrow night and i can see them. But impatience just overwhelmed me :D
I think i haven't blogged about my piano stuff cus i stopped blogging at that period of time. anyway, i'd been very slack about practicing for, like the first year 3 months. Then towards the exam date after our school exams, i spammed like crazy for 2 weeks. I was so unprepared luhh, still had a gazillion mistakes. even my piano teacher was very hesitant when my mum asked her if i could pass. held this performance the day before my exam on the 9th of december at ms sylvia's house and invited friends over. monica, serene, weiren, rion, tpl. thanks a lot for coming! really appreciated it, it was at 7.15, a really inconvenient timing for everyone : /
The examination studio was really cold, and when its cold, its pretty hard to play cus your fingers get numb and stiff and hard to control and do stuff like fast notes. the examiner was really friendly! just like all the other times i took my piano exams. they had always been an elderly caucasian man for me, and they talk and smile to you like we're friends. really helps to sooth the tension all over!
anyway in my opinion, i played really badly. I don't know how well other diploma students play, but i certainly don't think my playing is good enough for performances : / so I'm like :O at my results!

really thankful that 1 and a half years of time, money and effort was not wasted!
my parents really spent a lot of money to fund my piano-learning. like the lessons are super expensive, so are the scores. and half a year before my exam, my parents rented a super gorgeous brown upright grand for me to get a better touch. Cus the piano used for the exam's a grand, which usually has a harder touch than normal pianos. and the rent was costly too : /
i must, someday, teach/perform to pay back all the money invested in me C:

- went to west coast plaza with monica weiren serene today to get a cake for lewis. and me to get a cake for si ying.
- had 402 gathering in the tv room today! played scrabble and wii, mainly the mario cart game thing. Its pretty fun! had never tried before. its very amusing to see the little people constantly dropping off the tracks in the rainbow one. weiren and tony and some others are pro in it luhh. they must have played this all the time :O
- lewis seems pretty happy with our present for him, a calvin and hobbes comic book C: but apparently he'd read it in the library before -_-
- we should keep a supply of serviettes in our room. so we don't have to keep using facial tissue to put the cake slices to eat -_- the cream gets stuck to the paper and you end up having tissue bits in your mouth.
- tried to appeal for odac today. no go.
- after i bought siying's cake, i asked the drink store auntie to help me keep it in the fridge. when i went down with elza and monica at around 6.30, it turned out that some unknown person already took our cake!!! abduction of birthday cake -_- the auntie doesn't know who the person who took it was, but said it was this 'pang4 de4 nan2 sheng1'. Then i was thinking, none of the guys in the 12 superheroes is fat -_- the auntie then said he was a friend of zikai. So elza called zikai immediately, and thank goodness he picked up. Yup. We got back the cake in the end haha. Poor auntie, she must had had lots of cakes going in and out of her fridge today. Lewis's birthday cake that we got, siying's cake, a small cake that hanisah etc bought, and any other cakes? apparently there's another guy whose birthday is today too, some people sang happy birthday to him in the canteen today.

- we FINALLY took a COMPLETE superhero photo today! with all 12 of us in it! i heart the 12 superheroes C:
- home tomorrow! going home to a dinner at a restaurant C:
- monica suggested 402 frisbee next thursday!
