I shall try to recall what happened in the past 10 days. I'll post a bit of the photos we took too. 'A bit', cus most of the photos have my parents and myself in there, and i dont really like to put them up on a public blog like this one.
Day#1 (29th May)
My mum and I only had one luggage bag full of stuff, and the staff at the check in point was quite surprised. Heh. Our flight was at.... sometime past noon. Oh yea, that was still a school day, so I had to take a leave. We were supposed to get our progress report that day, so I can only get mine back after school reopens. But nevermind, we all got to know our CAP before the actual day, cus the teachers recorded it down on espace. Heard that almost everyone got higher than expected. clap clap clap C:
Quite a lot of people were wearing masks. We did, at first, too, but later felt that there wouldn't be much of a difference and the mask makes it hard to talk and eat, plus it's stuffy.
I saw this coffee shop while on the travallator and I was like... isn't that tung's name?
Window seat C: too bad we aren't allowed to take any photos during take off or landing....
Watched confessions of a shopaholic on the plane. C: good thing there's a mini tv thing for everyone on planes nowadays... i remember last time it was quite unbearable to take planes when there isnt anything to do on the plane but play with those toys they give out to all the kids on the plane.
Reached taoyuan airport at night. Dad came to fetch us. Oh he's there on a working trip (is that what you call them?), and we stayed over at the apartment his company provided for him. I like it. Its small, but somehow its very cosy C: My mum said that taiwan'd be as hot as it is in s'pore, but it turned out that being quite chilly. walked down the small streets near his house. there were so many many food stalls...... taiwanese food, jap food, korean food, bla bla. We had dinner at one selling italian food in the end. weird huh, but my dad said its good. and it was. My mum bought 臭豆腐 from one stall on the street, and was telling us how absolutely delicious they were. I tried one, i like the sauce the person used, but the tofu itself was... meh to me. Ah gosh i cannot blog like this, or i'll take forever -__-
Day #2 (30th May)
Woke up pretty early, at around 8. Um thats pretty early for a holiday. I usually wake up at 9.30 to 10. Ate breakfast at home, the bread and the drinks my dad bought. Even those were super yummy. C: discussed for a looooong over what to do. Took a bus (wowed at the bus fare. like only a few dollars for an 1 hour long ride for the 3 of us) to.... to where? I forgot. The more central district area i think, and transfered to their mrt to somewhere else (i cant remember the names in chinese) where we ate lunch at ding tai fung. The ding tai fung there is nicer than the ones in singapore C: and the queue is... super long. We booked beforehand though, so didnt have to wait. Ate like three meals worth of food, and got going again. Oh yea, there was a nice lady on the bus who talked to us and like gave lots of suggestions as to where to go, so we've got the next 2 days all planned out. Took a shuttle bus to where the taipei 101 was. We didnt go up to look though, cus the price was ridiculously high, and it was quite foggy that day. So just looked around the first few floors, which was like a shopping center full of branded shops.

Outside taipei 101
Took the mrt again to this place which i forgot what it was called again. anyway its like a hill and on top there are red buildings which they said were built buy westerners who came to taiwan years back. There was an entrance fee ... which is a receipt of anything you'd bought. Strange huh. We were short of one receipt, so we went to a convenience store nearby to get a bottle of water.
View from the hill
One of the red buildings

took the mrt again to a far end of the line where there was a port (forgot the name again -_-) and lots of shops and eateries by the sea. I started hunting for souvenirs for my dear friends back in singapore, who reminded me lots of times to get them souvenirs from both taiwan AND canada. It was VERY crowded there, around the shops and eateries. Like orchard road at peak period kind. After the souvenirs were settled, we went over to another part of the port where there's a bridge and more boats and stuff, and where it was cooler and windier than where the shops were. Ate some stuff (delicious, as usual) while watching the swallows flying around. Wanna take a photo of them, but they're flying too fast :C
The port

rip raps! sort of.
dusk.

Watching the sunset
Took the mrt to SHILIN (hah i remember the name this time) to have our dinner at shilin yeshi (night market). I think they were reconstructing part of the yeshi, so some parts were moved over to a temporary location. Anyway, it was super crowded as well. Ate lots of stuff. I still can't get used to the 臭豆腐smell ;P my mum loves them and ate quite a lot....
Got home super late. I think we almost took the last bus there was from the central bus interchange to nankan......
Day #3 (31st May)
Last day in Taiwan! :C
Woke up late this time.... mainly cus we were very tired from yesterday since we got home so late. Took a bus and mrt again (we take mrt so often that I could even remember where the toilets were in some of the stations ;P) and then a bus to this place, where we went to this mountain (can't remember the name again). There were quite a few westerners hiking/jogging.
The walk to the visitor centor along was like 1 km... we walked through this trail where there were quite a lot of animals and had lunch at a place near the visitor's center. Took the shuttle bus which drives around the mountain. The view was awesome. Like when you look out of the bus along the way, all you can see is mountains overlapping mountains, and more mountains. We reached this place where there were fumaroles. Or are they called solfataras?

The funaroles emitting gas. See that yellowish stuff? Those are sulphur...
climbed up a narrow path...
...to one of viewing points
Took this on the way down. Mud + sulphur.
Took the shuttle again to where there was a small suspension bridge, and took a few pictures.
I don't like posting pictures with people in them, but it was only after seeing this photo did i realise how brown my hair was ;P compare it to my brown jacket and my mum's hair.
Had dinner in a korean cuisine stall near my dad's place. The food's fabulous, as usual. My dad's so lucky to have so many delicacies right below his block! :D
Oh did i mention, under his block there was this shop(?) tended by a few taxi drivers, so whenever you need a ride, you just have to go over there and they'll be ready to drive. Don't have to stand by the road and wait to flag a taxi. Okay anyway we left my dad's place :C for the airport after resting for a bit after dinner.

nah i can't finish it today. 3 days alone took me like 2 hours ;P
write on the rest next time~
