DEE-A-TEE-E: (Friday, January 23, 2009!)
Came to school and watch 10 minutes of ponyo on the cliff by the sea with adeline si ying heidi monica and weining. I didnt think ponyo was that nice except that the song is pretty cute. now i wanna watch the whole thing :D too bad one part was removed for copyright reasons (i think)
Chinese new year celebrations today weren't bad, but not that impressive either. The dance was quite pretty though. The slideshow of the photos taken with the beijing no 4 highsch people was quite.... -___- they were showing photos with a nice loud background music and just when people were getting into it it came to a super abrupt stop which totally killed the mood. was it meant to be like that. : / oh the chinese orchestra was quite good too, but during the first song the trumpet like instrument was a little... um too outstanding. And some feedback from the ground: the background on the slides are really ugly. no offence meant. : / I thought the xiang shengs this year were not as good as last year though. :(
adeline and i bought this little notebook to take down all the pictionaries we have created! :D :D
and miraculously, adeline found the big green piece of paper which we wrote all the 204 pictionaries 2 years ago! Its like some ancient artifact! :D it even has this 204 t shirt design which never came through with the 'geniuses we are' slogan on it. C:
There was supposed to be a netball farewell for ms chen (not used to calling her mrs lim) today but it got cancelled for some reason. I guess you cant expect much of a party when ms chen's attending green com meeting at that time. : /
yeap so we had green com meeting. not bad. ms chen brought LOTS of pringles left over from last year (yay!) and i ate until i felt like puking. The orange helped a lot. hey i think orange cures puking-ness or something la. like it also eases the sea sick feeling according to the instructers at obs.
8 of the superheroes (me adeline tricia siying tpl weijing taiyu rion) went to botanic gardens after that to pick leaves for our bio assignment. [eh tricia your mum may think its a group date again 4 girls and 4 guys hahaha] Picking leaves were harder that i thought... either the leaves are too high up/have no label/are too sparse/are too big/are too gross/look the same for different species. -_- in the end we took like... 3-4 hours getting leaves from 10+ plants. botanic gardens changed quite a bit from several years ago... last time there weren't so many statues, the big ball in a fountain was on a patch of grass instead of paved road and there used to be tall orchid plants where we could play hide and seek in. haha i frequented botanics much more when i was younger. :P
