mann haven't been blogging again D: got back from tioman! it was so fast, it's as if it had never happened :O and i can say that i haven't done any work since tioman, i'm so slack i dunno how i'm going to cope with all the schoolwork when school reopens. :P see how it goes ba have been going out everyday for the past week mm saturday to tuesday was tioman wednesday was research i like spinelli thursday went to holland v <3 friday, which was yesterday, was to my cousin's house. went swimming too! i need to buy goggles :X saturday, today, was to ICCS! quite... interesting and to taka for mooncake festival! i think i sampled mooncakes from like more than half of the booths ;P so much that i think i had my fair share of mooncakes for the year already :O still, we bought some from the shangrila booth for ourselves, and and and i bought two boxes of mooncakes from TWG tea company! uhm funny place to buy mooncakes, eh? but they're mooncakes are really really nice! really really really really nice! (price really really nice too! :P) anyway those two boxes from TWG are for my cluster C: from the september fund hope my cluster mates will find them as nice i as thought they were C: maybe i'll visit their tea shop someday for sure its those really high class tea ;P considering how expensive their mooncakes were (even more expensive than those from hotels like fullerton, swisshotel, marriott etc etc etc) lalala and my mum banned me from msn! i guess its for the better :P

Am I not just the stupidest person?
Hi Xinyuan,
You've accidentally submitted your MA5403 Linear Algebra assignment to me. I'll pass it to Mr Wang for you. Please don't submit your MA5403 assignment to me next time.
Mr Chai
Dear Mr Chai,
I'm so sorry about my mistake. Both math module assignments were due on the same day (last Friday), and John was collecting the assignment, so I must have passed him the linear algebra assignment instead thinking it was the statistics assignment because I just checked and found out that my statistics assignment is still with me... :P
I'll hand the assignment in tomorrow, sorry again for the inconvenience caused.
Regards, Hong Xinyuan

in a (dangerous) post-exam mood!!
Went to the games room for FIVE times this week. and clocked some 3 hours in there today alone! :O
first went with wj tpl adeline joanna.
then was with a group of 402+odac+506 hybrid. um lets see. me adeline monica weiren e tung yanling john trang. yep
super fun luhhhhh!
well we first borrowed the stuff from the office. on the way to the games room, john knocked into weiren, who was holding onto the air hockey handle thingos. one of it dropped and crack! it broke into two :O
attempted to fix it
with monica's super glue
three times
managed to get the red handle to turn white with glue.
but not to get it stuck together -_-
luckily the security guard was nice, he said it's okay ;D
yeah so we pretty much played table soccer the entire time.
the last part super funny, it was tung vs weiren in a game which... ahem very high stakes.
wellllll weiren lost to tung. like three times ;P birthday boy not so lucky eh?
hmm i should be doing my work ;P played so much today le.

DEE-A-TEE-E: (Friday, July 16, 2010!)
i'm starting everyday looking forward to the end of the day, which is bad D:
went for the ISSF/RSSF interview yesterday. there were more teachers than i expected! 4 of them. Had to present our JTDP research project over again, this time compressed to some 5 minutes (that's that we were told, but i'm sure all of us overshot). i was quite worried about the questions they'd ask. Let's see... this is actually only the second time i'm having an interview! I think ;P the first one was PSL interview -_- which was unsuccessful. i was really quite scared that they'd me questions needing really specific knowledge behind the research :P oh teachers seem to like asking about standard deviation a lot -_- me and si ying were asked about them during our JTDP judging, and i got asked yesterday too!
welll just got an email from Mr Chiam saying that so far i'm shortlisted for RSSF.... together with yanling cleo yihui desmond and ryan. Hm. pretty nice group i guess, been with desmond to IGGY and i kinda know the other 3 girls? they say they're gonna interview some other candidates before giving confirmation, meh. hope can go!! oh good luck to tpl as well, hope you get australia C:
our tioman trip's in september :C i so wanted august, cus i want a nice long september break :C plus september is so close to our exams!!! ms lim give us false hope lorh. on tuesday she was saying our class is most likely going for the first one, ie the august one. and when she came to class today, she announce that our class was indeed going for the august one. I 'yes!'-ed really loud together with the rest of the class, only to find that she said wrongly and she had meant to say september -____- and we were all like awwwwwwwww!!!
oh well. adeline said the september one is $6 cheaper. That;s a plus point.
oh and siying would be going for september as well. That's a plus point too.
and we can get tips from the august group! That's also a plus point.
and yawen can come along with the class. That's another.
i hope i can continue to do painting during art club time, rather than fashion design! ;P go go go for UOB 2011!
played air hockey with 7 other superheroes yesterday! 4 girls vs 4 boys. and i can say that girls are better :D we won them 40 to 26 for the 'proper' air hockey, but they won us errrr i think 80 to sixtysomething? for air hockey left hand plus with 2 pucks version! was fun hahahhaha.
had dinner with my mum at west coast plaza yesterday! new york new york mmmmmmm C: happy birthday to her !!

DEE-A-TEE-E: (Monday, July 12, 2010!)
best wishes in advance to three very different people who are going to have their birthday within the next 7 days: my mum, my brother and tpl! C:
sunday, went to nanyang academy of fine art to collect our paintings back. pity none of us got anything ! ;P ms k said she saw some excellent paintings of other students too, but they didn't win either.
I saw the article in the sunday times later in hostel that a girl from RJC was the overall winner. She painted herself holding up a blank canvas, grimacing about lack of inspiration. She did do a pretty job, grats to her! Apparently the painting of the year for the past 4 years running was won by a photograph oO like those people who sent in photography. uhhhhh its a painting competition, hello? honestly i think its unfair to both photographers and painters that the two media should be put together in the same competition. I mean, its two completely different media requiring completely different skills! its quite hard to put two artworks together, one a great photo and another a great painting and then say one is better than another. its like ... having a competition between a surgeon and a lawyer to see who has better skills in their own respective field.
just going to NAFA, taking the painting back to school and going back home took me 4 long hours -_- someone really should invent a teleporting machine someday ;D
today... woke up incredibly tired. had to drag myself off the bed ;P we went to bed at 12 last night, but adeline and I talked about random stuff till 1+ am oO but afterwards we apparently slept quite well, cus we weren't awoken by the cheers from the people watching world cup finals!
lessons were as usual. boring and stuff. had my eyes half closed throughout physics lesson. Ok mr clifton soh's lame jokes can be quite funny sometimes.
talent search finals!
very entertaining :D loved the CBC performance, the guy is proooo
i think MAs did a great job. I mean, the number of participants of the competition, for one, went up dunno how many fold from the first year we had talend search :D and yea tricia said she thinks 'MAs can bond the school better than student council sometimes'
should i join choir as second cca? hmmmmmmmmmm
went to practice piano today! I feel stupid to be proud of myself for that. I mean, it ought not to be an achievement, but rather it should have been done as if it was a regular thing. ;P must practice more!!!
went games room with some superheroes today too! we played an air hockey rally. Super fun! C:
kay. its take supper time now.

Sheng siong taiwan food fair!
Pears at $59.00 each, anyone? Got $9.00 offer, you know!
Hmm, but I don't really see the difference between those and these which are at $3 for two...
Now what about a watermelon at $70?
apple mangoes = yummy C:
colors of the wind. ~xinyuan
re-watching the 402 performance never fails to make me happy! C: C: C: C: C:
tuesday, wednesday, thursday, nothing too significant, except that one one of the nights was like play-mood, we had superhero dinner, played in the games room after dinner till study time (air hockey!), had a very unproductive study time and walked round the track right after study time, during which there was a fire drill! went back to eat the jelly tpl made (yumm) and cus we couldn't finish the entire plate, we played i had never and stuffed ourselves like umm .... water tanks?
pantry supplied included pringles this month. mmmm. our 4 tubes were gone in two days, cluster 4B's were gone within a few hours :O
speaking of food, i've been buying lots of food lately!
bought a whole lot of snacks and stuff from canada: biscuits, cereal, bread (their bread is yummy!), ham, chocolate, pop tarts (took a liking to this stuff after watching daveday+venetian princess' video on youtube)
then there was the hokkaido food fair at tampines: soft melon sweets, scallop takoyaki, um this glutinous rice-stuffed squid thing, curry buns and dried seafood! om nom nom nom nom
THEN there was the taiwan food fair in sheng siong! couldn't help but buy loads of taiwan goodies: biscuits, mochi and fruits. their fruits are really yummy, especially the apple mangoes! C: and and and, i don't know if i mentioned it before, everytime my dad returns from taiwan, he'd bring a long a few kilos of taiwan rice cus it beats any other kind of rice i've eaten C: and lo and behold, sheng siong has them for this period from 8-14 july! bought a pack of 1kg and a pack of 1.5 kg C: a whole lot more expensive than my dad bringing it from taiwan though :C
kay enough of food.
missed 506's class outing yesterday D: cus my mum didn't allow it
i must practice piano more more more more more !!!
badminton for PE these few weeks. okay la.
didn't get anything for my painting. oh well. at least i can get it back now!
i still can't quite get used to my new class. my class*. i don't think it should be considered 'new' anymore, yet...
can't believe we're gonna leave nushs in less than 1 and a half years time! I cannot imagine myself entering university. unfamiliar, foreign and stuff.

DEE-A-TEE-E: (Monday, July 05, 2010!)
just got back from 402 outing and feeling very happy! C:
me and moni were doing chem assignment right before we left home for class outing :P ended up both of us were a bit late, with her being one train behind me :O we reached in time for the movie of course though :D
nice to see everyone gathered again :D
this small animation before the movie started was quite amusing! it's called 'day and night' :D
and wellll we watched toy story 3, and it was awesome :D got me and everyone else laughing from start to finish C: there were also parts which were quite touching and parts where you just feel like giving latso (sp?) a nice punch in the face :D
watched the first toy story sooooo long ago i completely forgot what it was about haha. I don't think i watched toy story 2, or maybe i did, because the plot summary on wikipedia sounds a tad bit familiar.
okay i feel, after the movie, just a little guilty of neglecting my toys haha :D i think its pretty amazing how kids can have such fun with those inanimate little things, like they're so imaginative, they can really see all the toys coming alive and stuff like that. :D
went to carl's junior (my first time going to carl's junior!) to eat a pretty late lunch C: the three of us girls weining moni and i ordered one set of fish sandwich, and nevertheless still felt pretty full afterwards. so... we just sat there are ate and talked and talked for i think 2 hours or so? really nice to just sit and talk, simple as it may be :D and we're kinda more open to each other i guess? like for example when going home today monica commented that chris seems more talkative now in that he'd hardly ever talked to her before C:
oh oh i can't wait for the 402 taiwan trip! if there really is one! okay i'm starting to imagine all the fun stuff we can do together ;P hope we really can, monica must play good host kay :D
C:
402 time out together beats doing chem assignment that's due the next day anytime, any day C:
i think i'd really really miss my secondary school life after we graduate :C wish i could stay this age forever :P
this weekend passed so fast, even though they threw in a youth day for us :P
maybe its because i went out on all three days? saturday to my cousin's house from afternoon to late at ngiht, sunday to submit my painting for UOB from early morning to afternoon and monday (today) for time out with 402 friends ( C: )
hm yeap, finally finished my painting after some 100 + hours of breathing in paint.
went with keren, ms k and dang mai trang to nanyang school of arts to submit. seems like quite a lot of people join UOB! like the submission period is from 1pm to 6pm, and within that short time (maybe 10 minutes or so?), i already saw like some 7-8 people submitting in my category, and maybe 10+ under open? plus we went at 1+pm, which is when the submission just started so there should be relatively less people. so i'd say the average summissions per 10 minutes is 20 people? so... a bit of math, two people per minute for 5 hours, that'd be 600 submissions for youth category :O
they'd give winners (which is, sadly, very very few) a call on thursday ;P not having high hopes anymore since i realized that there are 1. lots of submissions 2. very little prizes, i thought there'd be a lot and 3. i saw some of the painting done by others, some were really nice!
but on the other hand, i get to keep my painting C:
mehhhh i dont't want school.....
kay back to my chem assignment D:
colors of the wind. ~xinyuan
off to class outing in a bit!
the break's a three day one this time, but it still seems horribly short!
and productivity, as usual, is rock bottom :P
hm where did all the time go to?
hope you all will tide over what seems to be an insurmountable wave, somehow D:
conflicts, compromises, dilemmas, emotions, sacrifices. Sorry I can't be of much help here... seems I'm just a kid after all :P But best wishes, you've got my support

DEE-A-TEE-E: (Friday, July 02, 2010!)
whoops, missed so many days, again. Loads, really loads of stuff happened, this week seemed to last for many times its actual length ;P
well to continue from where i left off...
plane ride back to singapore seems so much shorter than when i flew off to canada. Probably because when i went to canada, only 1 out of the 3 planes had personal screens for you, and the movie selection wasn't very diverse. On the way back, two out of the three had, and the selection was like WOW kind. watched spiderman 1, 2 and 3 (-_- always wanted to watch but had never gotten the chance, now finally did ;P) and percy jackson. Liked spidey 1 and 2, 3 and percy was just so-so. Hm i think i really like to watch superhero/supernatural-related stuff ;P
returned to singapore 2am in the morning, dead beat. slept at 4 ;P
Saturday was resting, packing and cleaning day.
went to serene's clarinet lesson on sunday! at plaza sing. I greatly apologize for my atrocious piano-playing! i swear i can play it 100 times better when i play on my own, just seem to get nervous and stuff when playing together ;P welllll i guess this indicates that i need tons more practice ;P
returned to hostel on sunday afternoon. went back pretty early this time round to check in and give our room a clean up
didn't think cleaning up would take such a long time, but we took like uhhhh the entire afternoon ;P
mmm room smelt a little of paint, but our walls are cleaner now C:
went to sumo house for dinner with adeline and siying and weijin. to skip the not-to-our-taste-western dinner, to visit sumo house since we'd not in quite a while and to go ntuc afterwards
we bought a weighing scale from ntuc!! madness eh? siying say that people say that people who weigh themselves regularly tend not to put on weight hahaahaah
all our teachers this sem changed, even PE.
quote elza: 'mr soh is so lame i want to cry'
dutifully practised piano on monday evening. didn't manage to follow up for the rest of the week though, shame on me
our room walked round the track for quite a few times this week! take the chance to walk round the track while we can... soon work will pile up such that we won't even be able to afford that ;P
we were saying after exams, we'd start walking round the track after dinner, and keep walking till it's supper time, when we'll head to the boarding office for supper and continue walking round till roll call time! ;D
oh oh and i finally finished my UOB painting ! I don't know what's the standard, but i think i'd be quite disappointed if i don't get at least a commendation award or something. for the hours and hours and hours and hours and hours that i'd put in! ;P
ARP was fun. the walk there was no fun though, with the upslopes and the sun. thinking of the dancing zebrafish makes me laugh ;D i'd never wanted to eat hostel dinner so badly before
(i think my points and sentences within each point are really incoherent)
envy classes with ms beiji dass! heard she's good from everyone :O my our's is not bad too i guess
